Our Leadership

Mitchell Kaufman, MSCS
President
As president of IFS, Mitch manages the company’s day-to-day operations. He is also a hands-on-developer, participating in new system design and interfacing with customers to gather specifications.
Mitch began his career as a software engineer for the US Army. There, he designed system-level utilities to support data acquisition and analysis for developing advanced weapons systems – and published several articles detailing the unique new system tools he developed. After earning a Masters degree in computer science, he moved on to work at Digital Equipment Corporation as a software consultant, collaborating with Fortune 500 companies to design and implement complex enterprise-wide systems. Some projects included designing new communication protocols and others managing the development of new hardware designed specifically for some of Digital’s largest clients.
In 1994, Mitch launched Integrated Financial Solutions, Inc. (IFS). Focusing on the finance industry, Mitch and the IFS team developed IFSLeaseWorks, one of the first fully integrated front-end/back-end lease management systems commercially available. Mitch has led the evolution of IFSLeaseWorks to incorporate new functionality and technology as the needs of clients and the industry continue to evolve. His philosophy about system engineering is that functionality, ease of use and flexibility are the key elements of a successful system. Mitch enjoys working with clients to gather requirements for system enhancements and discussing future technology trends.
As Mitch expands the offerings of IFS – now IFS Technology Solutions – he continues to enjoy the challenge of staying ahead of the latest technology, managing the staff at IFS, and developing new client relationships.
